The centre for the future
SCCE of the SKR “The youth centre”, which had not its own roof within three years, has received in Shymkent a building with the same name along the street Zheltoksan
The former casino “Favourite” in the park named after Abai, after repair has turned into a convenient place for work with youth. The project with the cost of 55 million tenge is carried out within the limits of social responsibility of business.
An opening of the centre is a direct acknowledgement of realization of the state youth policy, problems of which are protection of the rights and interests of young men, granting of the help and social services, an embodiment in a life of their socially significant initiatives. The centre will work in three basic directions, by the profile of which the following departments are created: the analysis, monitoring and social researches; supports of talents; the control and the employment organization. Fifteen established posts should co-ordinate an activity of the centre with committees on affairs of youth of high schools and colleges, with student's hostels, with youth public associations and the state structures, which are engaged in a youth policy in cities and districts.
In our region over 700 thousand young men are at the age from 14 till 29 years - it is almost the third of all population of the SKR. This huge contingent is the special socially-demographic group demanding not simply attention, but also new technologies in work with it. This thought was underlined in interview by the head of department of internal policy of the akimat of Kentau, Kanat Bakbergen, which have expressed hope that the youth management of the centre will not work in the old manner.
The centre orientation on rendering of the practical help to young men should not belittle its functions on the organization of their leisure.
- Leisure actions are provided by the department of support of talented youth, for this purpose the centre has a special premise, - the director of youth centre Askar Abubakirov has explained.
The blitz-interrogation of the youth which has gathered for opening has revealed one more desire concerning the centre.
- Here the Internet cafe should be obligatory, after all the modern youth does not think of itself without computers, - the student of Almaty medical institute Balzhan Tursynbaj has told.
According to the head of the department of internal policy of the akimat of the SKR, Bahyt Ahymbetov, such cafe will appear already by the end of current year not only in the centre, but also its branches in districts and in the cities of the region.
At solemn opening of the youth centre an akim of the region, Askar Myrzahmetov, has underlined thought that to put means in youth is to show care of the future, and the region intends to pay a maximum of attention to the young people henceforth. The special importance in work of the centre the head of the SKR sees in the decision of problems with employment of young people.
