Kazakhstan sees slide in fixed investment in 2010 H1
In the first half of the year Kazakhstan's investment in fixed capital dropped 4.8 percent compared to the same period of 2009. Kazakh Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zhanar Aitzhanova has reported at the Government's session today.
The decrease was caused mostly by the reduction of foreign investments and borrowed funds. According to the Minister, processing industry is still the less attractive economy sector, which sees only 91.7 percent investment growth rate to the last year's level.
The proportion of own funds of enterprises in the structure of investments increased to 45 percent.
The volume of investments increased in the spheres of agriculture - by 40.2 percent, manufacturing - by 27.7 percent, construction - by 39.8 percent.
